Vertex Partnership Academies is a virtues-based high school seeking International Baccalaureate authorization to become an IB world school in 2024. Our cardinal virtues are Courage, Justice, Temperance, and Wisdom.

Vertex Partnership Academies is a Candidate School* for the International Baccalaureate (IB): Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and Career-related Programme (CP). This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Vertex believes is important for our students.

Vertex Partnership Academies successfully applied for candidacy for the Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and the Career-related Programme (CP). Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its academic programs.

All students-scholars who attend Vertex Partnership Academies are enrolled in the IB Middle Years Programme in 9th and 10th grades.

At Vertex Partnership Academies, each IB MYP student-scholar will complete a rigorous foundational IB program in the liberal arts and sciences that emphasizes knowledge and thinking through writing workshops, Socratic seminars, inquiry-based learning, and character education designed to focus on character, virtues and values in the interest of human flourishing.

All student-scholars who attend Vertex Partnership Academies choose between the IB Diploma Programme or IB Career-related Programme to complete during 11th and 12th grades. All IB DP and IB CP student-scholars are enrolled in an IB program.

All student-scholars will complete graduation requirements for the New York State Regents Diploma with the expectation that an enhanced credential, the IB Diploma or IB Career-related Certificate, will increase chances for success in post-secondary education and career opportunities.

*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme, or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
